From nboot98 at hotmail.com Mon Dec 1 10:38:16 2008 From: nboot98 at hotmail.com (Nathan Boot) Date: Mon Dec 1 10:38:19 2008 Subject: [Brew-list] Christmas brew party Message-ID: Alright folks, Thanksgiving is behind us, and the Christmas Party is coming. The plan is to have the party on the 13th of December, a week from this Saturday. We can have it here at my house, so the planning will be simple. It is a white elephant party, bring a present you either would want or you want to get rid of. We are an easy bunch. There will be an IPA made with hops grown here in Missoula. It should be a great event, and more detail will follow. Bring your Scotch Ale so we can all try them, and we'll see you all soon. I've some trouble keeping my head in the game the last few weeks. Anyway, The Farmer's Wife Company is hosting a holiday open house at the soap factory tomorrow night, Dec 10th from 5 to 8 pm. It would be great to see you and your families. We'll have some munchies, plus beer and wine. You can get a tour of the factory, if you haven't been there before, plus we'll have holiday specials available, if you are still in need of some gifts. The Farmer's Wife Company Holiday Open House December 10, from 5 to 8 pm Missoula's Historic Warehouse Mall 725 West Alder, Suite 3 725 W Alder is 2 blocks west of St. Patrick's Hospital on the north side of Spruce street. The Farmer's Wife Company is located at the north end of the building on the east side. Look for the big loading dock and the tiny sign. Hope to see you there. I know the brew club members seem to be the best bet for wanting these barrels. All they have had in them are food oils - olive, palm, coconut or palm kernel oil. Don't make me bring one to the X-mas party as a white elephant gift. Will anyone planning on going to the party tonight be coming from or through the Westside or Downtown area? I'm not trusting my old bomber of a car to go out in this weather. So unless I can walk or take a bus, I'm self imposed house stranded. I just walked Downtown (and bused back) to meet some people at Break Espresso so I've proven that I would rather trust my feet and risk frost bite than to worry about bald tires and digging my car out of a snow drift. Unfortunately, Nathan's house is a bit too far for me to shuffle. I can meet a ride going through Downtown or West Broadway/Russell St. Bridge wherever you want - and will, of course, be ready to stay or return whenever you are. Let me know.
