Friends,

Last week, DEA agents seized a quarter ounce of medical marijuana on its
way from the Flathead Valley to Missoula via UPS. The caregiver and the
patient were registered and complying with the rules of Montana's state
medical marijuana program. So far, no federal charges have been filed,
but the patient's medicine was confiscated (stolen).

The story was covered by KPAX last night:

The Federal government does not yet recognize state medical marijuana
laws, and has the power to arrest, convict, and incarcerate patients and
their caregivers and confiscate medical marijuana.

However, our Montana representatives in Washington have the power to
change federal policy with regards to medical marijuana. In fact, Denny
Rehberg has voted in favor of legislation that would prohibit federal
agents from interfering with implementation of state medical marijuana
programs. (link below)

Would you please contact your representatives today and ask them to
publicly condemn the seizure of patients' medicine in Montana, where 62%
of citizens supported I-148, the Montana Medical Marijuana Initiative?
