[Mtnorml-list] Get involved: Missoula Community Oversight Committee forming

Friends,

As required by last November's I-2, which made adult marijuana offenses 
in Missoula County law enforcement's lowest possible priority, the 
county is now forming the Community Oversight Committee to ensure law 
enforcement is listening to voters' recommendations.

The committee is required to be made up of:

3 County Residents
1 Harm Reduction Advocate
2 Criminal Defense Attorneys
1 Civil Liberties Advocate
1 Medical Marijuana Patient
1 Drug Abuse and Prevention Counselor


Are you one of the above?

Please apply to join this committee and have a voice in I-2 
implementation by downloading the application from 
http://www.responsiblecrimepolicy.org (or http://www.co.missoula.mt.us) 
and sending it in to the county via email or postal mail (addresses are 
on the application).

Because there's been some resistance from government officials (see 
http://www.missoulanews.com/Archives/News.asp?no=6185), it's especially 
important that this community committee be formed to ensure the will of 
voters (that's you) is realized.
